Currently in my garden, Lady Emma Hamilton
READING - Nothing in particular at the moment. I should really be doing work (bah, in fact, as I typed this, I remembered a paper I need to write for November 1, but I think that instead I will download A Reckless Witch (A Modern Witch Series: Book 3) to my Kindle.
WRITING - This post! I've been doing really well getting posts written ahead of time and scheduled, so that I don't miss any days. I have a few more posts to write out for this week...aside from that, everything else is work related.
LISTENING - Once again, nothing in particular. I'm kind of sick of everything at this moment. Anyone have any suggestions for new music to check out?
THINKING - That my brain kind of feels like a puddle of mush right now. I suppose I'm thinking two main things, all the many things on my to-do-list and how much I'd rather just take a nap...followed by the thought that we really need two couches, so that both Tony and I can nap and lounge at the same time while watching TV.
SMELLING - I'm visiting Tony this weekend, and his affinity for candles is negligible. Thankfully, his affinity for caffeinated beverages is about a thousand times my own, so I'm enjoying the lingering scent of coffee. However, I might break out my Mistletoe candle stash that I keep at his apartment, just because it might make the nap I plan to have shortly even more cozy.
WISHING - That I didn't have to drive 3.5 hours home later tonight. The very idea of it is making me quite tired. I so wish they would just allow small pets on Amtrak - I would SO very gladly pay the extra money and drive the 30 minutes to the train station, but alas, I have no one to leave Lux with and am not sure how I feel about hiring a pet sitter for the whole weekend.
HOPING - That I can convince Tony to go down the street with me to the local sports bar and get some fried pickles (YUM) during the Jets V. Pats halftime.
WEARING - My ultra comfy Rich & Skinny jeans, a Kimchi Blue top that I wear way too much, and my new favorite sweater - a big, slouchy, black cashmere/wool blend cardigan from J.Crew that is so, so cozy.
LOVING - Cozy sweaters. If only the weather was more consistent. By the time I get home from work around lunch time, I have to change because the temperature has gone up 15 degrees. It's nit to sit with the windows open on sunny days and enjoy the breeze with a fall scented candle burning.
WANTING - This Kiel James Patrick and Brooks Brothers collaborative bracelet. So. Bad. But, it is only being sold at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. Perhaps I'll have to troll ebay, as I'm sure some enterprising individual will be selling theirs. Also, food. I don't know what it is, but apparently I'm feeling the need to put on some extra insulation for winter...let's just say that my goal to lose 4lbs in October is not going to happen and will likely turn into a goal to lose 9lbs in in November. I'm also wanting to get some Halloween lights that I can string on my balcony...I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a lot of trick-or-treaters, since I have no plans to run up and down the stairs every few minutes, I think I might just toss candy from my balcony!
A peek at tomorrow's post
NEEDING - A long run. Seriously, I did a 5k yesterday and it was quite a struggle, which does not bode well for next weekends 6.66 mile race. Eek!
FEELING - Jealous...of everyone's posts about the Head of the Charles Regatta. I'm so jealous right now - it's such a great weekend for a regatta, plus I'm going to miss the Head of the Fish next weekend because I'll be in Salem. Sad times. Also, tired and sore. I'm still recovering/dealing with this plague that Tony brought upon me. To be fair, he is suffering far more greatly than I am.
Friends, I am so sorry that I forgot to add this - this post is not my idea, it is part of Siddathornton's weekly linkup - check it out!
