BaubleBar & Academic Chic

My Macbook's logic board suddenly decided it not longer wanted to be a part of this world and made a sudden and dramatic exit, which has left me with only my phone and an ancient laptop (because anything more than 4 or 5 years is pretty ancient in laptop land). So, until I get things straightened out on my substitute, I thought I'd share a few Instagram photos.

I just received a new (first!) order from BaubleBar yesterday and I have to say, so far I'm really loving my choices! Once I take a few more photos I'll share the whole collection.

This semester I am teaching every day, which means I have to dress somewhat professionally every day. This is not the usual for me, since I usually work from home one or two days a week. I know, I'm spoiled. As a result of my new schedule, I've had to step up my game in regards to wardrobe. Clearly I tend to go for button downs with sweaters - but it's been -25 degrees on a regular basis (Terrible!) so multiple layers have been a must. I've never worn so much wool in my life.

I think I'm doing fairly well so far. Do you ladies (because there don't really seem to be any gents who read or comment!) have any particular go to outfits for work or school?

  1. I have been trying to be better about it...but I'm typically a cropped pants and cardigan kind of girl. I love to wear a patterned shell, fun shoes, or a vintage brooch for a little fun. :)

  10. My outfits have to work double duty some days because I head from work to class so I try to stay classic but comfortable. I avoid getting caught up in trends because patterns go in and out so fast that I just tend to buy accessories that pick up on trends rather than more expensive items such as dresses or tops.

  12. I love all of your choices, they are all so pretty! I've never had a job that required me to dress professionally, so I don't have any good advice.. Other than Pinterest! :D
