Monochromatic Blush Pink

This outfit was out of my comfort zone in so many ways! First of all, I've always thought I couldn't wear pastels because of my very fair complexion. It just seemed like they always washed me out. Second, high-waist shorts are a new style for me and I wasn't sure how I felt about the paperbag waist trend that is super in right now. However, I was pleasantly surprised. overall I thought this outfit turned out super cute! On top of that, these shorts from Topshop are incredibly comfortable! They're made from linen, so they are perfect for humid, hot weather. As an added bonus, they're under $50, too!

I love a good wrap top - the v-neck they create helps lengthen my torso a bit and can also minimize a larger bust as long as the cut is not too low. This one from Willow + Clay was extra cute with a floral print and lots of ruffles. My shorts are high so you can't see it, but this is actually a cropped wrap top with a ruffled bottom. Unfortunately it sold out incredibly quickly, so I've linked some similar favorites. I am especially in love with this Max Studio Top that is less than $50! I wanted to add a little pop of color to my monochromatic look, so I styled this outfit with my Kate Spade Tilly Wedges. If you are like me and you have trouble finding comfortable, cute shoes, I highly recommend you give Kate Spade shoes a try, especially their wedges and low heels. I find them so comfortable and I am able to walk around in them all day!

  1. This outfit is darling! I'm a fair girl too but I absolutely love pastels!

    1. Thank you so much! I think going back to my natural, darker hair color also made it easier for me to wear pastels.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
